Who We Are
FishBook is Australia's all-in-one fishing app, built by anglers, for anglers. We created FishBook because we were frustrated with juggling a paper logbook, a separate weather app, and countless browser tabs just to plan a single fishing session. We knew there had to be a better way — and we built it.
Whether you fish the open ocean off the Queensland coast, cast a line in the Murray-Darling Basin, or chase bream through Sydney Harbour, FishBook is the one tool you need on the water.
What We Do
FishBook combines everything a modern Australian angler needs into a single, beautifully designed mobile app available on both iOS and Android:

- Live Aussie Forecasts: Get hourly tide heights, wind speed and direction, swell, barometric pressure, and moon phase data for thousands of Australian fishing spots — from remote offshore reefs to your local estuary flat.
- AI Bite Windows: Our smart bite-time rating combines real-time forecast data with historical catch trends to tell you the best window to fish so you maximise your time on the water.
- Species Library: Identify fish from over 3,000 Australian species with detailed profiles covering habitat, regulations, bag limits, and size restrictions — so you always fish within the rules.
- Fishing Spot Map: Discover and share fishing spots with the FishBook community. Filter by species, water type, or catch history to find your next favourite location.
- Offline Mode: Log catches and access saved spots and forecasts even when you are out of mobile range — everything syncs automatically once you are back in service.

Our forecast data is sourced from Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) feeds and local tide gauge networks, giving you the most accurate local conditions available anywhere in an app.
